Ipoh City Council (MBI) approves 23 Ramadan bazaar locations with 1,587 trading lots for 2026, managed by various community and private organisers.
IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has approved 23 locations for Ramadan bazaars next year.
The sites will offer a total of 1,587 trading lots.
Organising rights have been granted to six hawker associations, three residents’ associations, two mosque and surau committees, one hawker cooperative and two private agencies.
Approval letters were presented and a briefing was held on Dec 22.
The briefing was delivered by representatives from several MBI departments and external agencies.
These included the Public Health and City Services Department, the Licensing Department, Perkeso, Green Energy Asia Biofuel Resources, MySafe Food and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad.
Traders interested in operating at a bazaar should contact the listed organisers promptly.
The council stated that applications should be submitted quickly as the number of trading lots at each location is limited.
MBI expressed hope that next year’s Ramadan bazaars will operate smoothly, safely and in an orderly manner.
