MYFutureJobs places over 620,000 workers since 2023, says minister

Malaysia’s MYFutureJobs initiative has recorded over 622,000 job placements since 2023, reflecting strong economic resilience and labour market policies.

KUALA LUMPUR: The MYFutureJobs initiative has recorded 622,283 job placements from 2023 to December 19 this year.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said this achievement reflects the effectiveness of active labour market policies and the country’s economic resilience.

He said the performance aligns with the International Monetary Fund’s positive assessment of Malaysia’s economic strength.

“The IMF’s recognition underscores Malaysia’s ability to remain resilient despite global trade challenges and international policy uncertainties,” Ramanan said in a statement.

He attributed this positive development to strong domestic demand, continued investment and healthy employment growth.

Ramanan stated that economic resilience must translate into meaningful outcomes for the people through quality employment and fair wages.

“Economic growth must go hand in hand with the creation of quality jobs,” he emphasised.

The ministry will continue to strengthen MYFutureJobs, the national employment portal, through digital technology and strategic collaborations.

This approach includes active job matching, skills development and the implementation of the Progressive Wage Policy.

The initiative aims to ensure economic growth translates into quality job opportunities and a competitive workforce.

The IMF noted on December 19 that Malaysia remains resilient due to strong domestic demand and prudent economic management.
