AKPK’s KLues to BUDI treasure hunt engaged 200 participants to promote financial literacy and launched a CSR initiative for B40 families.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) has reaffirmed its commitment to financial education through a city-wide treasure hunt called KLues to BUDI.
More than 200 participants from financial institutions, media partners, and the local community gathered at Menara Aras Raya for the event.
AKPK chief executive officer Azaddin Ngah Tasir stated that the event was designed to be more than just a fun competition.
He explained that the activity encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and financial decision-making in a dynamic setting.
Azaddin emphasised AKPK’s belief that being ‘berbudi’ extends beyond financial support to restoring hope and dignity.
He highlighted that strategic partnerships with financial providers demonstrate how compassion and collaboration create second chances for those facing financial hardship.
The CEO noted these partnerships help individuals rise again with renewed confidence after financial difficulties.
In conjunction with the event, AKPK launched a corporate social responsibility initiative to assist vulnerable communities in the Klang Valley.
Funds raised through the event were used to purchase kitchen essentials including cooking oil and dry food items for B40 families.
Azaddin stated that this initiative embodies AKPK’s belief that financial resilience begins with meeting basic needs and building human dignity.
He acknowledged the essential role of media partners in shaping positive narratives that empower the public.
Azaddin emphasised that media collaboration helps people live wisely, spend responsibly, and manage finances with purpose throughout life.
He confirmed that AKPK will continue collaborating with key stakeholders to implement impactful programmes.
These future programmes will focus on strengthening financial literacy and enhancing overall community well-being.
The KLues to BUDI event successfully translated financial literacy into real-world application while promoting AKPK’s core values.
AKPK’s BUDI values represent Bina Ilmu, Umpil Potensi, Dinamikkan Sumber and Imbalan Kebijaksanaan in their financial education mission. – Bernama
