All 16 flood evacuees in Selangor have returned home after floodwaters receded and the relief centre was closed.

KUALA LUMPUR: All the 16 flood evacuees in Selangor have returned to their homes as the floodwaters have receded.

The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) Secretariat said they had been staying at the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan RTB Bukit Changgang in Banting, which was closed at 2.30 pm today.

Meanwhile, the number of flood evacuees in Perak as at 5 pm remained unchanged from the 52 in the morning.

The Perak JPBN Secretariat said in a statement that they had been staying at the relief centre at Dewan Bandaran Gopeng since June 20 after their homes in Kampung Ulu Geruntum in Kuala Razila were cut off following the collapse of a bridge caused by a water surge.
