Only two temporary relief centres remain operational in Miri as of 4 pm today.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Red Crescent hall continues to operate as a relief centre.
It currently accommodates four flood victims from two families.
The same centre is also housing four members of a family affected by a landslide.
Continuous heavy rain since yesterday evening has caused renewed flooding in the state.

He said 45 victims from 16 families were placed at the relief centre in Kampung Peneh Mosque.
Another eight victims from two families were moved to the centre at Kampung Lubok Periok town hall, which opened at 5.45 pm today.
“Heavy rain continues in the Hulu Terengganu district, with the number of victims expected to increase,” he said when contacted.
He advised people in high-risk areas to be vigilant and follow authorities’ instructions.
