IRB introduces WhatsApp tax updates and Tanya HAFY platform for easier taxpayer access to payment reminders and information.
PUTRAJAYA: The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has launched a new WhatsApp application and an enhanced information search platform to assist taxpayers.
Taxpayers can now receive tax updates, payment reminders, arrears notifications and compliance alerts directly via WhatsApp.
The official IRB WhatsApp profile is named Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia and uses the phone number 03-8911 1000.

Meanwhile, the new enquiry platform called Tanya HAFY will replace the previous Tanya@HKC system on the IRB portal.
This self-service feature is designed to be more systematic, relevant and efficient for users.
IRB stated that the introduction of the HASiL WhatsApp application and Tanya HAFY platform aims to add value for taxpayers.
