JAKIM warns against normalising unnatural sexual practices

JAKIM says it will not compromise on efforts to normalise unnatural sexual acts, citing violations of law and Islamic teachings.

PUTRAJAYA: The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) stated there will be no compromise on any effort to normalise unnatural sexual practices.

Its director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee said authorities are closely monitoring the Glamping with Pride programme.

He said such practices contravene religious principles, moral values, and the nation’s legal framework.

“Such acts are offences under existing laws,” Sirajuddin said in a statement.

He cited Section 25 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act 1997 and Sections 377A to 377D of the Penal Code.

The matter is under close monitoring by JAKIM together with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department and the police.

Authorities will not compromise on any programme found contrary to Islamic teachings and legal provisions.

Firm action will be taken in accordance with laws currently in force.

JAKIM will continue its information and preventive initiatives aimed at the community, particularly Muslims.

The goal is to prevent influence into accepting deviant practices as a lifestyle.

All parties are advised to comply with the law and refer related issues to Islamic religious authorities. – Bernama
