Kedah announces RM2,000 special assistance for 4,941 civil servants, to be paid in two instalments with a total allocation of RM10 million.

ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government has announced a special financial assistance of RM2,000 for its 4,941 civil servants and state administration members.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the payment will be made in two instalments in January and March next year.

He made the announcement while tabling Kedah’s Budget 2026 at the State Legislative Assembly sitting today.

“The close cooperation between the political leadership and the administrative machinery is the key to our success in developing Kedah,” Sanusi said.

“In appreciation of this hard work, I am pleased to announce that the state government has approved this special financial assistance, with a total allocation of RM10 million.”

The assistance serves as a token of appreciation for the dedication shown by the state’s civil servants. – Bernama
