Kelantan allocates RM12 million for 2026 state-wide cleanliness campaign

The Kelantan government has set aside RM12 million for its ‘Kelantanku Bersih’ campaign next year, aiming to promote cleanliness and integrity.

KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan government has allocated RM12 million for the implementation of the ‘Kelantanku Bersih’ campaign in 2026.

Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan said the funding will be channelled to all local government authorities (PBTs).

He expressed hope that the allocation would be used effectively through well-planned initiatives benefiting the people.

“The Kelantanku Bersih programme is not just a slogan…it represents the new identity of our state,” he told reporters after officiating Kelantanku Bersih Day.

He stated the goal is for Kelantan to progress as a clean state in administrative integrity, physical environment, and daily spiritual practices.

Mohamed Fadzli reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting local authorities as development frontliners.

He said cleanliness efforts must move beyond meeting tables to action in markets, residential areas, parks, and towns.

Simultaneously, he announced the distribution of an RM5.29 million Improvement Service Fund to all 12 local authorities.

These funds are designated for upgrading public facilities and basic infrastructure.

He emphasised that the funds must be managed transparently, responsibly, and strategically. – Bernama
