MOHE allocates RM10,000 to support 12 visually impaired students in the INCLUDE 2026 mobility programme to Indonesia.
PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), through Yayasan Perkasa Siswa (YPS), has allocated RM10,000 to support the International & Inclusive Learning for Diverse Excellence (INCLUDE) 2026 mobility programme.
In a statement today, MOHE said Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir approved the contribution while engaging with students with disabilities (OKU) participating in the programme.
A total of 12 visually impaired students will take part in the mobility programme from May 5 to 9 at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara in Jakarta, Indonesia. They will be accompanied by four student buddies and four programme officers.
“MOHE fully supports Universiti Malaya’s inclusive initiative through the implementation of this programme,” the statement read.
According to MOHE, the programme represents a proactive effort to empower students with disabilities by providing them with international learning exposure.
“It is in line with the ministry’s aspiration to strengthen a higher education ecosystem that is inclusive, equitable and globally competitive,” it said.
INCLUDE 2026 is the first outbound mobility programme specifically designed to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. The initiative reflects the continued commitment of universities to ensuring fair access to higher education, regardless of background or physical ability.
