NS Fest 2025 aims for 1.4 million visitors and RM4.3 million in sales, serving as an economic magnet for local businesses and tourism over 12 days.
NILAI: The Negeri Sembilan Fest 2025 (NS Fest) highlights the state government’s ongoing commitment to consistent and sustainable economic growth.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said this year’s festival targets 1.4 million visitors following last year’s encouraging turnout of 1.1 million.
Sales at the 2024 event reached RM4.3 million.
“For the first time, he said the festival is being held over 12 days starting yesterday, bringing together the participation of local entrepreneurs, the agro-food sector, small and medium industries (SMIs), retail businesses as well as state tourism promotion,” he stated.
Aminuddin described the festival as an economic ‘magnet’ that attracts both local residents and out-of-state visitors.
He said this stimulates business activity, entrepreneurship and local tourism.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at Dataran Nilai, he emphasised the event is more than an annual gathering.
“It is a strategic platform to strengthen the state’s future economic ecosystem through the empowerment of key sectors,” he explained.
This includes developing high-value-added industries and expanding a smart tourism ecosystem.
NS Fest 2025 features various high-impact strategic segments catering to all societal levels.
It also opens new collaboration opportunities in economic, entrepreneurial and creative industries.
“The 12-day duration, compared with previous editions, is expected to provide greater opportunities for traders and local entrepreneurs to generate income and expand the market reach of their products,” Aminuddin added.
He noted the festival has grown into an iconic state event uniting diverse economic, cultural and entrepreneurial sectors. – Bernama
