PUTRAJAYA: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that no Malaysian citizens were affected by a landslide in West Bandung, Indonesia.
The ministry, also known as Wisma Putra, issued the confirmation based on the latest information from Indonesian authorities.
It stated that the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta has contacted student representatives and registered Malaysians in the area.
The embassy is also in active communication with Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for updates on search and rescue efforts.
Wisma Putra extended its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims affected by the tragedy.
The ministry said it will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates as necessary.
