1,821 Form Five students in Bandar Tun Razak received school aid, including RM100 cash, to support their SPM exam preparations.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,821 Form Five students from 10 secondary schools in Bandar Tun Razak received school aid contributions today.
The aid included RM100 in cash for each student.
Bandar Tun Razak MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the assistance was also a form of moral support.
She said it aimed to help students prepare physically, mentally and emotionally for academic challenges.
“The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination is an initial step towards a broader future,” she said.
Wan Azizah added she is committed to supporting educational development in her constituency.
She said this when officiating the Ceria Ke Sekolah programme for Form Five students here.
The Prime Minister’s Political Secretary Datuk Azman Abidin also attended the event.
Azman said the programme aimed to ease the burden on families.
It also sought to instil community awareness and care for the less fortunate, he added.
All students received a personalised school bag and a school badge logo.
Azman hoped the cash would be used for stationery, books and other school essentials.
Recipient Nur Aisyah Amani Jumairi expressed gratitude for the assistance.
The SMK Bandar Tasik Selatan student said it would benefit SPM candidates and ease parents’ burdens.
Another recipient, Tan Wen-Yi from SMK Orkid Desa, said the contribution would help him buy reference books.
He expressed happiness and gratitude for the cash and school supplies received
