Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will address critical issues on the economy, education, and institutional reform in a major New Year address tomorrow.
MELAKA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to make several important announcements at the Prime Minister’s Department monthly assembly tomorrow.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke (pic) said the Prime Minister will deliver his 2026 New Year Message and address key issues involving the economy, education, and institutional reform.
Loke stated this demonstrates the seriousness of the MADANI Government leadership in addressing current issues faced by the people.
He was speaking at the opening of the Melaka DAP Convention today, which was also attended by Melaka DAP Chairman Khoo Poay Tiong.
The Prime Minister will first chair a special Cabinet meeting to discuss several urgent matters tomorrow morning.
He will then deliver his New Year address to the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department at 11:30 am.
Loke noted business owners are facing many issues creating a less than positive climate.
“However, these matters will be addressed, especially regarding tax refunds,” he said.
He expressed confidence that positive announcements will be made tomorrow to tackle such critical issues.
The message will also outline the primary direction for the country and government in the new year.
Loke emphasised that implementation and government action following the announcements are most important.
