RM300,000 allocated for monsoon sales to aid flood-hit Kelantan

KPDN allocates RM300,000 for Monsoon Rahmah MADANI Sales in Kelantan, offering goods up to 30% cheaper to ease flood burden.

TUMPAT: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living has allocated RM300,000 to implement the Monsoon Rahmah MADANI Sales Programme in Kelantan.

Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said the funding is based on river level and weather forecasts to ease the burden on flood-affected communities.

The programme ensures residents have access to essential goods at affordable prices when supply chains are disrupted.

“As a start, the Monsoon PJRM was held today at the Kampung Neting futsal court, offering essential goods at prices up to 30% lower than market rates,” she said.

KPDN Kelantan has intensified monitoring of supply and prices in flooded areas.

It is also rolling out various Rahmah initiatives near evacuation centres, including mobile sales and a Back-to-School programme from December 18 to January 10.
