Seremban City Council will relocate poorly performing MyKiosk units to strategic locations to boost usage by B40 and new entrepreneurs
SEREMBAN: The Seremban City Council will relocate MyKiosk units with poor uptake to more strategic locations.
State Local Government Development Committee acting chairman J. Arul Kumar said the council has reassessed the sites and created an action plan.
He confirmed several locations, particularly in Kampung Jerangkang, Labu, currently have no traders despite efforts to fill them.
“The Mayor of Seremban has also informed that if no trader is found within one month, the respective MyKiosk will be relocated,” he said at the state assembly session.
Arul was responding to a question from Lenggeng assemblyman Datuk Mohd Asna Amin regarding unpopular MyKiosks in Lenggeng and Labu, Nilai.
He stressed the state government is committed to ensuring initiatives provide the best returns for small traders.
This focus is especially for the B40 group and new entrepreneurs joining the MyKiosk programme. – Bernama
