GEORGE TOWN: The Sungai Nibong Highway will be closed for four hours on Monday night to facilitate essential maintenance works.
The Penang Public Works Department announced the full closure of the stretch from the Bukit Jambul roundabout towards Queensbay.
It will be in effect from 11 pm on Monday until 3 am the following morning.
The closure is to allow for the dismantling and installation of a new Variable Message Signage LED board for Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd.
Road users are strongly advised to exercise caution and follow all safety signage in the affected area.
Motorists should plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes during the closure period.
