KANGAR: The Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp) has recorded 1,258.03 tonnes of flood waste at the Rimba Mas Solid Waste Disposal Site.
The waste was collected through a Post-Flood Cleanup Operations Task Force operating from November 29.
Cleanup work covered 116 areas and 8,910 premises within SWCorp’s operational zones in Perlis.
“The implementation of this operation involved 189 task force personnel and the use of machinery, namely 53 mini armroll units and 12 backhoe units,” stated SWCorp.
The operation was coordinated and monitored by the SWCorp Enforcement Division.
SWCorp reported that the task force enabled comprehensive, systematic, and continuous post-flood cleanup.
