Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for parts of Sarawak and Sabah until 9pm today, warns MetMalaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a severe weather warning for parts of Sarawak and Sabah.
The warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds is in effect until 9pm today.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kapit (Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Miri (Beluru and Telang Usan) and Limbang.
In Sabah, the adverse weather is forecast for the interior areas of Sipitang, Kuala Penyu and Beaufort.
It is also expected to hit the west coast districts of Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran.
The department issued the statement at 5pm today.
