KPRJ celebrates 30 years with new corporate identity, having generated RM3.54 billion revenue and RM2.3 billion profit since 1995
ISKANDAR PUTERI: Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ) today celebrated the 30th anniversary of its establishment with the launching of a new corporate identity as a move to strengthen its strategic role in the state’s development.
KPRJ’s 30th anniversary celebration at Seri Medini here was graced by the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, and was also attended by Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, who is also the KPRJ chairman; State Secretary Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman; and KPRJ chief executive officer Datuk Lukman Abu Bakar.
The presence of Tunku Mahkota Ismail highlighted the state leadership’s continued support for KPRJ’s role as the key driver of Johor’s socio-economic agenda.
The celebration began with a special montage display looking back at KPRJ’s three-decade journey since it was formed in 1995 in spearheading the state’s strategic development.
The event also saw the launching of a Coffee Table Book documenting the history, achievements and direction of KPRJ, in line with the theme of “3 Dekad Membina Legasi, Mencorakkan Masa Hadapan” (3 Decades of Building A Legacy, Shaping the Future).
The highlight of the event was Tunku Mahkota Ismail gracing the launch of the new KPRJ logo, which he inspired, and signing the inauguration plaque of the company’s new building.
Onn Hafiz said that from 1995 to 2024, the company had recorded a cumulative revenue of RM3.54 billion, with cumulative profits exceeding RM2.3 billion, and total assets amounting to RM2.7 billion.
According to him, the performance did not merely strengthen KPRJ’s corporate standing, but was also reflected through dividend payments to the state government and the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.
“So far, a total of RM351.9 million has been spent for that purpose. This proves KPRJ’s commitment to returning business profits to the State Government as the shareholder and to the people of Johor,” he said in his speech.
Meanwhile, Lukman said the rebranding of KPRJ is a comprehensive transformation that consolidates the identities of subsidiaries and investments under a more structured corporate framework.
“This rebranding is not merely about changing the logo, but the unification of KPRJ’s entire ecosystem to create a clearer, stronger and more competitive corporate identity,” he said.
He said the KPRJ will continue to enhance its involvement in high-impact projects, encompassing strategic infrastructure, real estate, investment and the environmental sector, in line with the state’s sustainability agenda.
The 30th anniversary celebration is a manifestation of KPRJ’s confidence in a future driven by innovation, sustainability and continuous commitment to the development of Johor.
