A woman drowned and another was rescued after their car was swept away by floodwaters in Tanah Merah early this morning.
KOTA BHARU: A woman drowned while another was rescued after their Proton Saga FLX was swept away by floodwaters in Kampung Batu 5, Jalan Jedok, Tanah Merah early today.
The Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 4.13 am.
Rescuers found the victim at 7.49 am near where the car had been lodged.
The operation involved personnel from the Tanah Merah station.
The victim’s body was handed over to police for further action.
