The parliamentary by-election is a three-cornered contest between Barisan Nasional’s Mohd Kurniawan Naim Moktar, Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman of Warisan, and independent candidate Goldam Hamid.
The Lamag state seat by-election is a straight fight between BN’s Mohd Ismail Ayob and Warisan’s Mazliwati Abdul Malek.
Both by-elections were triggered by the death of incumbent MP and assemblyman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin on Dec 5 last year. – Bernama
