Barisan Nasional has submitted names for Sabah’s ministerial and deputy ministerial posts to the new state government for consideration.
BAGAN DATUK: Barisan Nasional (BN) has submitted a list of names for consideration as ministers and deputy ministers in Sabah’s new state government.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed the submission after the state government requested names from supporting parties.
“For the Sabah polls, as we are all aware, the formation of the government will be done soonest possible,” he told reporters after a flood briefing.
Zahid said he had personally contacted new Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to help stabilise Sabah’s politics.
He reiterated that political stability was the priority to ensure development in electricity, water, and roads could proceed.
“Most importantly, the well-being of the people and the Sabah Maju Jaya aspirations can be fully realised,” he said.
On Saturday, Zahid stated BN was ready to cooperate with like-minded parties to form the new state government. – Bernama
