Hajiji confident GRS will retain Sabah government

Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor expresses confidence in GRS retaining the state government, citing positive public response to their manifesto and candidates during the campaign period.

PAPAR: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor expressed confidence that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will be given the mandate to lead the state government again after the 17th Sabah State Election.

Speaking after the ‘Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga’ campaign trail at Pantai Manis, he said observations during the two-week campaign period showed people were receptive to GRS’s manifesto and candidates.

“God willing, we are confident we will form the government after the election tomorrow,” he stated.

Hajiji, who is GRS chairman and candidate for Sulaman, reiterated his call for voters to choose GRS, highlighting the coalition’s proven track record over the past five years in government.

He urged people not to listen to opposition lies, noting some opposition parties had previously failed and were rejected by voters after just two and a half years in power.

The Chief Minister also emphasized that Papar would progress further if all three elected representatives in the parliamentary constituency were from GRS.

Polling for the 17th Sabah state election, featuring contests in 73 state seats, takes place tomorrow.
