PGRS warns members will be immediately expelled if they contest as independents in Sabah state election, supporting only GRS coalition candidates.
KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah has issued a stern warning against members contesting as independent candidates in the upcoming state election.
Secretary-General Datuk Mohammad Razali Razi stated that independent candidacy violates the party’s position as a Gabungan Rakyat Sabah component.
“PGRS stresses that any individual who decides to contest as an independent candidate has no connection with the party or any of its leaders,” he declared.
The party has decided to immediately expel any member who violates this directive.
Mohammad Razali urged all supporters and party machinery to strengthen unity and focus on the election campaign.
“We must ensure the victory of GRS candidates for the sake of the future and interests of the people of Sabah,” he emphasized.
Nomination day occurred today with polling scheduled for November 29 and early voting on November 25. – Bernama
