Selangor MB’s office slams ‘malicious’ wealth claims against aide

Selangor MB’s office dismisses viral claims about officer’s wealth and positions as baseless and politically motivated slander.

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office has dismissed viral allegations about an officer’s wealth and multiple government positions as malicious and politically motivated.

The office described the accusations, which circulated via WhatsApp during the Selangor Budget 2026 tabling, as completely baseless.

“It is clearly slanderous, misleading and not factual,” the office stated, confirming the concerned officer will lodge a police report to demonstrate accountability.

Authorities urged all parties to focus on state development and public welfare rather than engaging in immature politics through false perceptions.

Media reports had earlier indicated Amirudin was asked to comment on allegations of unexplained wealth involving the officer in question. – Bernama
