Zahid urges Sabahans to vote wisely in state election

Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi encourages Sabah voters to fulfil their civic duty and choose the best leaders for the state’s future.

KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has extended his well-wishes to all Sabahans casting their ballots in today’s state election.

The Barisan Nasional chairman and UMNO president called on voters to exercise the power entrusted to them by choosing the best representatives for Sabah’s future.

“Today is an important day for all Sabahans to fulfil their civic duty as voters,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

“Everything is now in your hands. Use the rights and power given to you to choose the best leaders for the state’s future.”

Zahid advised voters to plan their travel carefully and follow authorities’ instructions while prioritizing personal safety amid unpredictable weather conditions.

He urged citizens to “vote with calm hearts and thoughtful consideration” when selecting their representatives.

“I pray that your affairs are eased and that the voting process runs smoothly and orderly,” he added.

The deputy prime minister concluded his message with “Happy voting, people of Sabah” while expressing hope for a peaceful and successful election process. – Bernama
