The Public Service Department pledges to enhance service quality, aligning with the Prime Minister’s New Year message on digitalisation and institutional reform.
PUTRAJAYA: The Public Service Department (PSD) is committed to enhancing the quality of public service delivery to make it faster, more efficient and more people-oriented.
Director-General Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said this commitment aligns with the direction outlined in the 2026 New Year Message delivered by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“In line with the implementation of the civil servants’ salary adjustment and the government’s digitalisation agenda, the PSD remains committed to improving the quality of service delivery,” he said when contacted.
He added that the department reiterates its commitment to ensuring every government policy is implemented effectively for the people’s well-being.
The PSD also fully supports the emphasis on institutional reform, integrity and governance anchored on transparency and accountability.
Earlier, Anwar said the implementation of digital systems would be intensified to enhance public service quality.
He also announced that four Bills would be tabled in Parliament this year, reflecting the direction of institutional reform.
The key Bills cover limiting the prime minister’s tenure to 10 years, separating the roles of the Attorney General and Public Prosecutor, establishing an Ombudsman, and enacting freedom of information (FOI).
