Negeri Sembilan police confirm NFA status for pupil who fell into sewage pit, concluding the incident was an accident with no criminal elements.
SEREMBAN: The case involving a pupil who died after falling into a sewage pit at a school in Lenggeng, Nilai, has been classified as no further action.
Negeri Sembilan Police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad stated that a detailed investigation concluded the incident was an accident with no criminal elements or involvement of any party detected.
He confirmed the case was initially investigated under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Child Act 2001 before being referred to the deputy public prosecutor.
“From the investigation, we are satisfied that the case was an accident,” he told Bernama today.
The Standard Three student died on September 27 after falling into the uncovered sewage pit at the school. – Bernama
