Visitors flock to the Rahmah Sale at Putrajaya’s Rancakkan MADANI event, snapping up discounted essentials like diapers, cooking oil, and rice
PUTRAJAYA: The Rahmah Sale proved a major draw for visitors attending the three-day Rancakkan MADANI programme here.
Attendees took the opportunity to purchase daily necessities and school supplies at prices significantly lower than the market rate.
Ramiza Abd Razak, 56, expressed her delight at the savings, which helped her manage household expenses more effectively.
“Disposable diapers for my grandchild are usually RM33 or RM34, but today it’s only RM22,” she said.
She also noted substantial price differences for cooking oil and eggs compared to regular shops.
Another visitor, Nurfarah Ain Abd Razak, 37, said she never misses a Rahmah Sale when one is held nearby.
“If there is a Rahmah Sale, we definitely won’t miss it as it’s hard to get prices like this,” she stated.
She typically purchases dried goods like instant noodles and biscuits during these sales.
Aiman Muzzammil Suhaimee, 28, specifically targets staple food items such as eggs, rice, and cooking oil.
He confirmed these products are always sold at lower-than-usual prices during the Rahmah initiative.
The broader Rancakkan MADANI programme, which began on Friday, offered over 300 touch-point government services.
It also featured a career carnival, interactive exhibitions, family entertainment, and various special offers.
The national-scale programme was organised by the Prime Minister’s Office under the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU).
It attracted an estimated 300,000 visitors throughout its three-day run. – Bernama
