23 Selangor entrepreneurs will participate in MIHAS Shanghai to expand halal product markets and build international partnerships.

SHAH ALAM: Twenty-three entrepreneurs from the Selangor Entrepreneur Basic Transformation Training Programme and PKNS Entrepreneur Development Division will participate in the Malaysia International Halal Exhibition in Shanghai, China from November 5 to 10.

Selangor Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi stated that this participation aims to help local entrepreneurs expand their halal product market globally while building strategic partnerships with international industry players.

He explained that participating in MIHAS represents part of the state government’s continuous effort to empower local entrepreneurs and help them penetrate foreign markets, especially in China’s tremendous halal industry potential.

Mohd Najwan expressed hope that participants would fully utilise this opportunity to promote their products, establish new business networks, and gain valuable knowledge and experience to further grow their enterprises in Selangor.

The committee chairman made these remarks after handing over laptops to 28 students from the B40 group during a ceremony here today.

Among the products to be exhibited are food and beverages as well as health products.

The state government will cover 80% of exhibition booth rental costs for participating Selangor-based businesses while participants bear the remaining 20%.

Mohd Najwan noted that last year’s participation in the China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning revealed vast market potential, prompting this year’s continued involvement in Shanghai to strengthen the international presence of Selangor’s halal products. – Bernama
