UUM will present findings on nine MADANI initiatives to Cabinet tomorrow, assessing programme effectiveness and public satisfaction.
PUTRAJAYA: Universiti Utara Malaysia will present findings on nine MADANI initiatives to the Cabinet tomorrow.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the study would assess the effectiveness of government programmes implemented for the people.
“Recently, we appointed UUM to conduct the study, and tomorrow they will present the results to evaluate the outcomes of that research,” he said during an engagement session with media editors.
Shamsul Azri said the study was conducted under the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah initiative to evaluate the actual impact of policies.
He revealed that DOSM and MPC conduct surveys during every MADANI Rakyat Programme regarding programme effectiveness, public benefits and government perception.
Feedback from these studies is analysed and scored to measure public satisfaction with policy implementation.
“After getting the results, we will present it to the Cabinet to inform them of the evaluation outcomes,” he said.
The approach reflects the government’s commitment to assess policies based on data and feedback.
Shamsul Azri also highlighted significant achievements from the Public Service Reform Agenda.
The Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform initiative registered 1,007 projects nationwide with 97 completed, generating RM873.5 million in compliance cost savings.
These achievements demonstrate that reform saves time, cost and energy for people and businesses.
The MADANI Adopted Schools Programme saw 796 schools adopted as of July, involving RM14.3 million in government funding and corporate participation.
The programme targets 1,000 adopted schools by year-end.
Malaysia’s global reputation has improved, moving up 11 places to 23rd in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2025. – Bernama
