PETALING JAYA: The four rare Bugatti Veyron models which were seized from a private storage facility in Munich by German authorities are believed to be linked with three individuals, one of whom is fugitive financier Low Taek Jho or Jho Low.
A source told The Star that if Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) are able to get response from German authorities, then investigators’ suspicions can be confirmed.
It was also added that the other three supercars are linked to two other individuals who are under the MACC’s scrutiny.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said his agency had requested information from the German authorities about 1MDB bond funds used to purchase luxury cars in Germany on October 26, 2022.
Azam added that in a recent development, MACC had sent a request for the latest information from the German authorities.
The seized luxury cars are classified under the exclusive ‘Legends’ series of Bugatti hypercars, with only 18 cars produced in the series.
The four cars are the Rembrandt edition Veyron, Black Bess, Jean-Pierre Wimille, and Meo Constantini. Each car is valued at around US$3 million (RM14.3 million).
