Selangor FC suffer defeat against Persib Bandung

This result marks the Selangor FC’s third consecutive loss in this season’s ACL2 competition.

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor FC continue searching for their first victory in the 2025/26 Asian Football Confederation Champions League 2 tournament following a 0-2 defeat against Persib Bandung.

This result marks the Red Giants’ third consecutive loss in this season’s ACL2 competition.

The match at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium saw the hosts create several early chances against Selangor’s defensive line.

Persib Bandung finally broke through in the 29th minute when Adam Alis scored from Marc Klok’s precise pass.

Selangor nearly equalised before halftime but Chrigor Moraes’ powerful shot was saved by goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam.

Alvin Fortes came agonisingly close to scoring for Selangor when his 51st-minute effort struck the crossbar.

Harith Haiqal Adam Afkar conceded a penalty in the 66th minute after fouling an opponent inside the box.

Andrew Jung calmly converted the spot kick to double Persib Bandung’s advantage.

Selangor pushed forward in the final stages but couldn’t find a breakthrough before the referee’s final whistle.

The defeat leaves Selangor rooted at the bottom of Group G without any points from three matches. – Bernama
