The OIC and eight Muslim nations condemn Israel’s Gaza ceasefire violations, calling for international action, humanitarian access and a two-state solution.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has condemned in the strongest terms the continuing massacres by Israeli forces against civilians in Gaza.
It described the latest bombings, which killed 31 people, as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The OIC held Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of this crime.
It called on the UN Security Council to compel Israel to respect its commitments and implement the second phase of the agreement per Resolution 2803.
The organisation also stressed the need to open all crossings for unimpeded humanitarian aid.
It reiterated the need to relaunch a political process leading to the implementation of a two-state solution.
Meanwhile, Foreign Ministers from eight Muslim nations also strongly condemned Israel’s repeated ceasefire violations.
The ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Qatar said the actions have killed and injured over a thousand Palestinians.
They stated these violations risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts to consolidate calm.
“The ministers consider that these repeated violations constitute a direct threat to the political process,” their joint statement read.
They called on all parties to uphold their responsibilities, exercise restraint and refrain from actions undermining the current process.
The ministers urged creating conditions to advance early recovery, reconstruction and a just, lasting peace grounded in Palestinian self-determination.
