Trump to host Wall Street CEOs at White House dinner Wednesday

President Trump will host top Wall Street CEOs including JPMorgan and Nasdaq chiefs at a White House dinner focusing on capital markets and supply chains.

WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump will host a private dinner for top business executives at the White House on Wednesday.

The gathering includes chief executives from Nasdaq and JPMorgan Chase, according to an administration official.

This underscores Trump’s effort to strengthen ties with corporate leaders amid new initiatives for US capital markets and domestic supply chains.

JPMorgan, America’s largest bank, announced a $1.5 trillion decade-long investment program targeting national security sectors.

The program focuses on supply chain and manufacturing, defense and aerospace, energy independence, and frontier technologies.

Under this plan, the bank will deploy up to $10 billion through direct equity and venture-capital investments.

These investments specifically target US companies critical to national security and economic resilience.

A White House official confirmed Trump’s meeting with financial leaders but did not confirm attendees.

CBS News first reported the dinner plans.

Representatives for Nasdaq and JPMorgan did not immediately respond to comment requests.

Trump has held multiple private meetings with business leaders in recent months.

His administration seeks to promote economic growth while managing tensions with global trading partners.

Trump’s economic agenda focuses on expanding domestic production and reshoring key industries.

It also leverages private-sector investment to secure US positions in high-tech manufacturing and energy supply chains. – Reuters
