SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) coach K. Devan is keen to continue working with the team next season although he has received several offers from other clubs.
He said he had informed the NSFC management about the matter, including his plans should he be retained as coach for the 2024 season.
“I await NSFC’s decision. It’s up to the management but I have stated my interest and offered my services... I am confident I can do better than what we achieved this season. However, I will accept any decision made by the NSFC.
“I have two or three offers from teams in the Klang Valley and up north... but my priority is to NSFC because I am from Negeri Sembilan,” he told a media conference after his team lost 4-1 to Kuching City FC in their final Super League match Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.
With the defeat, NSFC finished their Super League campaign in ninth spot in the 14-team standings with 27 points.
On the team’s overall performance, Devan described their ninth placing as satisfactory based on the allocation they received and he also praised his men for their commitment.
“I took NSFC from the Premier League to the Super League... I feel like I achieved the target in terms of the key performance indicators (KPI). I am confident of doing better next season with the help and support of the management team,” he said. - Bernama
