Malaysian mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei win Australian Open, defeating Indonesian rivals in straight sets for second title of 2025

NATIONAL MIXED DOUBLES PAIR CHEN TANG JIE AND TOH EE WEI secured their second title of the season with a commanding victory at the 2025 Australian Open.

The top-seeded world champions dominated second seeds Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu of Indonesia 21-16, 21-11 in just 42 minutes.

The match took place at the Quaycentre on Olympic Boulevard during the Super 500 tournament final.

This victory represents Tang Jie and Ee Wei’s fifth consecutive win over the world number 11 Indonesian pair.

The Malaysian duo has now reached three finals this year following their World Championships success in August.

Their Australian Open triumph earned them USD 37,525, approximately RM 155,835. – Bernama
