FAM denies mass resignation or exco dissolution rumours

FAM acting president denies viral social media claims of mass resignations or dissolution of its executive committee, reaffirming leadership stability.

THE Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has denied allegations of mass resignations or the dissolution of the governing body’s Executive Committee (Exco) members.

FAM acting president Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi in a statement today, said the news that has gone viral on social media regarding the allegations is untrue and baseless.

“For your information, the appointment and election of all FAM Exco members were made through legal and constitutional channels, as a result of the voting process at the FAM Congress in line with the FAM Statute and the guidelines set by the international football governing body.

“FAM stresses that the existing leadership structure continues to carry out the responsibilities and trust given with full commitment to ensure the continuity of governance and development of national football,” he said.

Mohd Yusoff said FAM remains committed to continuing to operate transparently, professionally and with integrity in the interests of Malaysian football. – Bernama
