JDT coach Xisco Munoz says his team must improve their focus and performance after a narrow 1-0 win over PDRM FC in the Malaysia Cup
JOHOR Darul Ta’zim (JDT) head coach Xisco Munoz admitted his team’s performance was subpar despite a 1-0 win over PDRM FC.
The victory in the Malaysia Cup round of 16 second leg at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium secured an 11-1 aggregate win and a quarter-final spot against Melaka FC.
Munoz said his team created many chances but failed to control the game or score consistently.
“I don’t think this was our best night,” he said during the post-match press conference.
The coach stated there are many areas for improvement in both attack and defence.
“Tonight, we observed many important aspects, and one of our main tasks is to learn from our mistakes—specifically regarding attitude, character, and behavior,” Munoz added.
He emphasised the team must remain focused for the quarter-finals despite the large aggregate victory.
PDRM FC Assistant Head Coach Eddy Gapil praised his team’s defensive discipline for limiting JDT to just one goal.
