DUN Lamag kekal milik BN, Mohd Ismail menang dengan majoriti 5,681 majoriti

BN mempertahankan DUN Lamag. Mohd Ismail Ayob menang majoriti 5,681 undi menewaskan calon Warisan dalam PRK

KINABATANGAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) berjaya mengekalkan kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Lamag selepas calonnya, Mohd Ismail Ayob memperoleh 5,681 majoriti undi menewaskan pencabarnya, Mazliwati Abdul Malek daripada Warisan.

Keputusan itu diumumkan oleh Pegawai Pengurus Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) Dr Eddy Syaizul Rizam Abdullah di pusat penjumlahan rasmi undi di Dewan Sri Lamag di sini malam ini.

Pertandingan satu lawan satu itu menyaksikan Mohd Ismail, atau lebih dikenali dengan nama Miha, mendapat 7,269 undi manakala Mazliwati 1,588 undi.

PRK DUN Lamag diadakan susulan kematian penyandangnya, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, 66, pada 5 Dis lepas.

Dalam Pilihan Raya Negeri Sabah ke-17 pada November lepas, Bung Moktar berjaya mempertahankan kerusi DUN Lamag untuk penggal kedua selepas memenangi saingan lima penjuru dengan majoriti 153 undi.

Eddy Syaizul Rizam juga berkata sebanyak 160 kertas undi ditolak pada PRK itu.

Beliau turut merakamkan penghargaan kepada semua pihak yang terlibat dan berkata perjalanan proses demokasi itu berjalan lancar tanpa sebarang gangguan.

Terdahulu, Mohd Ismail yang memakai baju kemeja T hitam hadir ke dewan itu pada 9.55 malam.

Turut hadir Timbalan Pengerusi BN Datuk Jafry Ariffin.
