Perak beri RM1.8 juta kepada sembilan Sekolah Persendirian Cina

Kerajaan Negeri Perak peruntuk RM1.8 juta kepada sembilan SUWA, bantu operasi harian dan kebajikan warga sekolah

IPOH: Kerajaan Negeri Perak memperuntukkan sebanyak RM1.8 juta kepada sembilan Sekolah Persendirian Cina (SUWA) di sekitar negeri ini.

Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Kepayang Nga Kor Ming (gambar) berkata peruntukan RM200,000 bagi setiap sekolah itu diharap dapat mengurangkan beban kewangan mereka.

“Kerajaan Perpaduan Negeri Perak sentiasa komited dalam memastikan semua aliran pendidikan diberikan perhatian yang adil dan saksama,” katanya.

Beliau yang juga Menteri Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan menyerahkan sumbangan itu di Persatuan Hock Kean Perak.

Sekolah yang menerima peruntukan ialah Sekolah Menengah Shen Jai, Sekolah Menengah Yuk Choy, Poi Lam High School, Sekolah Tinggi Nan Hwa, Sekolah Menengah Yik Ching, Sekolah Menengah Tsung Wah (Kuala Kangsar), Sekolah Menengah San Min (Teluk Intan), Sekolah Tinggi Hua Lian (Taiping) dan Sekolah Menengah Pei Yuan (Kampar).

Dalam lawatan kerja yang sama, Nga turut menyerahkan bantuan kewangan RM524,600 kepada 333 pelajar sekolah menengah dan mahasiswa di Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan San Min, Teluk Intan.

“Sumbangan kasih MADANI ini telah memberi manfaat kepada lebih 5,000 pelajar pelbagai kaum di Parlimen Teluk Intan sejak 2023,” katanya.

Bantuan awal persekolahan RM150 bagi setiap pelajar itu disalurkan bagi membantu mendapatkan buku teks dan bahan pembelajaran.

Nga juga menghadiri sambutan perayaan Ponggal di Kuil Devi Sri Maha Mariamman Ladang Nova Scotia bersama 200 pelajar dan penduduk.

Beliau merasmikan Gelanggang Bola Keranjang Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Phooi Yong yang menerima peruntukan RM100,000.

“Pembangunan modal insan perlu diseimbangkan dengan pembentukan sahsiah, kesihatan fizikal dan nilai perpaduan,” katanya.

Turut hadir Exco kerajaan negeri Woo Kah Leong dan pegawai penyelaras Menteri Besar Perak Dewan Undangan Negeri Changkat Jong Badrul Hisham.
