JDT demolish Melaka FC 7-1 to maintain perfect Super League record

JDT crushed Melaka FC 7-1 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, securing their 10th straight win and maintaining a 100% record in the Super League competition.

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Darul Ta’zim maintained their perfect Super League record with a devastating 7-1 victory over Melaka FC at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

The Southern Tigers secured their tenth consecutive win this season under coach Xisco Munoz.

Defender Jonathan Silva opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a clean strike from Mohd Afiq Fazail’s pass.

Bergson Silva doubled the lead in the 32nd minute with a powerful header from Oscar Arribas’ free kick.

Substitute Heberty Fernandes made an immediate impact by scoring the third goal just three minutes after halftime.

Teto Martin added the fourth goal two minutes later with a long-range shot after defensive confusion.

Bergson Silva completed his brace with an easy finish from Park Junheong’s long pass in the 63rd minute.

Martin scored his second and JDT’s sixth goal eight minutes later from Heberty Fernandes’ neat pass.

Melaka FC managed a consolation goal through Abdul Azim Rahim in the 86th minute.

Heberty Fernandes immediately restored JDT’s six-goal advantage by converting a free kick.

The comprehensive victory gives JDT 30 points from 10 matches this season.
