Monaco open to selling Balogun and Akliouche

Monaco are willing to sell US striker Folarin Balogun and France winger Maghnes Akliouche, says general manager Thiago Scuro.

MONACO: Monaco’s general manager Thiago Scuro said on Wednesday the Ligue 1 club were willing to sell US striker Folarin Balogun and France winger Maghnes Akliouche.

Scuro’s side and Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain are in talks about a deal worth 35 million euros ($39.9 million) for 24-year-old Akliouche, who is with Les Bleus at the World Cup.

Balogun scored three goals for the co-hosts at the tournament before they were knocked out by Belgium in the last 16.

The 25-year-old featured in the knock-out loss after US President Donald Trump asked FIFA to suspended his red card ban.

Scuro said Cameroon midfielder Lamine Camara could also be on his way of the Prinicipality outfit as they look to decrease their salary spend.

“Individuals like Balogun, Akliouche, Camara are of interest to teams,” Scuro told AFP.

“If we reach an agreement that is right for Monaco, it could be done very quickly.

“If not, there will be nothing, but there are talks going on every day,” the Brazilian added.
