Penang FC upset Terengganu FC 2-0 in the Super League with a Kipre double, while DPMM FC beat PDRM FC 3-1 in Brunei
PENANG FC pulled off a major upset by defeating Terengganu FC 2-0 at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.
Tchetche Kipre was the hero for the visiting Panthers, scoring both goals in the 69th and 89th minutes to secure the victory.
The home side had started brightly, with Danilo Sipovac heading narrowly over the crossbar in the first half.
The result leaves Terengganu FC in fifth place with 18 points after 13 matches.
Penang FC climbed one position to 10th in the Super League standings with 11 points.
In another match, DPMM FC defeated bottom-placed PDRM FC 3-1 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Muhammad Hakeme Yazid Said scored twice for the home side in the 46th and 89th minutes.
Jordan Murray added DPMM’s third goal in the 63rd minute, with Fakhrul Azim netting a late consolation for PDRM in the 85th.
The win gives DPMM 17 points and seventh place in the league.
PDRM FC remain rooted to the bottom with just six points from one win, three draws, and nine defeats.
