Acting head coach Tengku Hazman lauds his players’ commitment and fighting spirit in a 1-0 Super League victory despite a tight schedule.
TERENGGANU FC acting head coach Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan praised his team’s performance after a 1-0 win over DPMM FC.
The victory was secured at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium last night in a Super League fixture.
Tengku Hazman said his players displayed a high fighting spirit despite exhaustion from a tight match schedule.
He stated the win would be a catalyst for continued success in the upcoming match series.
“I think tonight in terms of play, passing and overall I am satisfied,” said the 48-year-old coach.
“Even though we only returned from Kuala Lumpur two days ago, the players gave their best performance and high commitment.”
He also commended new import midfielder Panshanbe Ehsoni for adapting quickly with the team.
Meanwhile, DPMM FC coach Jamie McAllister said he was satisfied with his players’ fighting spirit despite the loss.
He cited weaknesses in the final attack zone as the reason for failing to convert chances.
“I thought we lacked a little bit of quality in the final third of decision-making,” McAllister said.
“We had some good chances in the first half and it was just decision-making or execution that let us down.”
He added that he was happy with the team’s overall attitude, defensive unit, and the goalkeeper’s saves.
