TEENAGER Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli described his debut in the 2025 Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix as an opportunity to gain knowledge and improve his riding skills despite his Moto3 campaign ending early due to a technical problem.
The 18-year-old said his machine stalled after five laps of the 10-lap race at the Sepang International Circuit today.
He stated the experience of battling with world-class riders like Spain’s Jaume Masia gave him motivation and confidence ahead of his first full Moto3 season next year.
“I’m thrilled to have raced with the top championship riders because they are all very fast,” he said after the race.
The race at SIC also served as a platform for him to learn techniques from world-class riders.
He added that he adapted to the handling of a high-level race machine and built his self-confidence during the event.
“I learned a lot, especially how they control the bike in such a high-level racing class,” he said.
Hakim Danish confirmed he will keep improving himself to be ready for next season.
Although disappointed with how his wildcard debut panned out, he said he still valued the experience of competing on the world stage.
The Aeon Credit SIC Racing MSI team rider started from 12th position on the grid before working his way up to 11th spot.
He was forced to quit after five laps due to technical issues with his bike. – Bernama
