Oriental Daily Sdn Bhd Director of Editorial Coordination Pattrik Ting said the event reflected strong industry collaboration and growing interest in the sport.

“We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all our sponsors for making this event possible, especially our Gold Sponsors, redONE Mobile and Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre, as well as Agrobank, Honda Malaysia and RHB Insurance for their valuable support and confidence in us,” he said.

He added that the tournament was designed not only as a competition platform but also to foster community, learning and friendship within the growing pickleball scene.

Malaysia Pickleball Association representative Datuk Wan Khalik Wan Mohamed said the strong youth turnout signalled a positive future for the sport.

“Many people still see pickleball as a sport for older adults, but the strong participation from children and young players here shows the sport is growing. This is a positive sign for pickleball,” he said.

He added that continued development could see the sport eventually included in major events such as the SEA Games, Asian Games and possibly even the Olympics.

A total of 10 championship categories were contested, with winners emerging across junior, novice and open divisions.
