PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s renowned singer and cultural icon, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, has been conferred an Honorary Master of Creative Arts and Media (Honoris Causa) by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sunway University in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the arts and creative industry.
The honorary degree was presented during Sunway University’s 30th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating Siti Nurhaliza’s illustrious career spanning more than three decades and her enduring influence on Malaysia’s creative landscape.
Widely regarded as the nation’s premier songstress, Siti Nurhaliza has earned widespread acclaim as an award-winning performer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and cultural ambassador. The conferment recognises her significant role in elevating Malaysia’s arts and entertainment industry on both the local and international stages.
Through her unwavering dedication to her craft, commitment to excellence and ability to connect with audiences across generations, she has become a source of inspiration for aspiring artists and young Malaysians alike.
Expressing her gratitude, Siti Nurhaliza described the recognition as a tremendous honour.
“Receiving the Honorary Master of Creative Arts and Media from Sunway University is a tremendous honour, and I am truly grateful to Sunway University for this recognition.
