TAYLOR’s Education Group has introduced Lexel International Schools, a groundbreaking educational model designed to make internationally benchmarked learning accessible to more Malaysian families at an affordable price point.
Launched on December 2, 2025, the initiative represents a strategic partnership between Taylor’s Education Group and Gamuda Land, combining academic excellence with integrated township development to deliver quality private education within master-planned communities.
A Name Rooted in Excellence
The name “Lexel” merges two powerful concepts: “lexicon” and “excellence.” This fusion reflects the school’s mission to inspire students to build their own comprehensive bodies of knowledge while pursuing excellence across all endeavors.
The inaugural Lexel campus welcomed its first students on September 8, 2025, at Gamuda Gardens township.
The facility features well-lit, spacious classrooms, modern laboratories, a comprehensive library, multi-purpose hall, and canteen.
Students also benefit from easy access to township amenities including an Olympic-length swimming pool, Wellness Centre, indoor badminton courts, and extensive parks, walking trails, and water features.
Addressing a Growing Market Need
Malaysia’s private and international school sector has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade. Between 2019 and 2024, local student enrollment in international schools surged by 34 percent, driven by an expanding middle class and increasing demand for globally relevant, English-medium education.
This growth aligns with Malaysia’s national ambitions to strengthen its position as a regional education hub, with the government targeting 250,000 international students by 2025.
However, many families still face significant barriers including high tuition fees and limited proximity to reputable schools.
